RHEL5 prevent rescaning every single SAN device

Greetings!

 

Is there a way possible to prevent this scenario in scsi_mid_layer? We have a situation on a server (RAC nodes) with lot of ASM Disks that are going to rezone to more FA ports down all 4 HBAs so the OS now would have scan more PATHS. Already it takes about 45 minutes to reboot each time. Now after this i suspect it is going to take even more. Any thoughts on speeding this up ?
