RP 5470 + DS2300 Storage harddisk not sensing in hp-ux 11.11i V1

Dear All,
Between server and storage connectivity is in SCSI and using IRM for raid configuration.
in that 4 hdd are failed and after replacement of hdd, from storage path not visible in ioscan -fnC disk. simply it show internal server disk.
Check cable working fine. Through irm tool i can see all hdd and raid configuration.

Pl help.

Hi, you should be all of disk are "online status" on IRM.

run IRM and go to Object and select Physical Drive... you can see the physical disk status..

please advice the status...

I attached irdisplay -f,irdiag -v /dev/iop0 and nickel output.

After i earsed all configuraion in ds2300 storage through IRM, reconfigured as its ealier configured.

After i tryed to create a vg in name of exiting vgname. it showing a error.

Pls help to configure in step by step.

Hi,

you must remove 1st using vgexport the vg's aasign on lvmtab
example:
vgchange -a n vg01
vgexport /dev/vg01
and create vg01

What about PV.?.want to create newly or not required.

If you have now newly created LUNs, you need to remove the previously VG definition first (vgexport). Then pvcreate and vgcreate your "new" VG.
