Hi

try going to the Filessytem TAB of the Install screen , go to the VG sections , Modify the VGs to have a PE Size of 16 MB or 64 MB or specify other paramaters as max_PV accordingly.

but still then why are you making root VG so BIG!

divide the RAID config to have 2 disks to be in RAID1 and install OS onto that , then create RAID5 vol of 4 Disks, create a VG and use that for Data.

Re: RX6600--aborting while installation

Shalom,

I would go with a more reasonable disk layout.

Take two of those nice 300 GB disks. Make them into a hardware raid 1 disk. Configure the rest as raid 5, so long as you don't intend to put a heavy write database on there.

Why boot off raid 1? So your system can have a recognizable pair of disks to boot off of. This will also reduce disk contention if you start paging.

You have created a pretty massive raid 5 array and apparently have exceeded what lvm can handle without a change. So I am proposing a more logical setup both to solve this problem and to give you a better performing, more reliable system in the future.
