Re-Utilizing Storage Units

I have a GS-140 with attached storage (HZ80s). I want to reutilize these storage units onto a DS20E cluster. I know that there are two HBA cards (netrained) on the DS20E cluster. I noticed both server units are using the QLOGIC ISP 1040B/V2 SCSI differential cards (wide SCSI?).

QUESTION: Is it possible to re-use the hardware from GS-140 to DS20e server? Can the same SCSI cards on the GS-140 be re-used on the DS20E for the storage? Any concerns that I may be looking for?

Re: Re-Utilizing Storage Units

Should not be a problem at all. You can even re-use the file systems. The system disk might require a bit more working, depending on the version of the operating system, etc.

I think that you should identify the SCSI adapter used in the GS and consult the compatibility guide or quickspecs to ensure that is supported by the DS20e server.
