RedHat Linux agent Binary Format keeps switching back to n/a

I'm getting inconsistent "unsupported platform" messages when pushing policies or instrumentation. I notied that under Properties/System/Agent Binary Format: it keeps reverting from x64 to n/a. When I change it back everything appears to work fine and then a day or so later it reverts back to n/a. I've seen some entries but they pertained to an earlier version of the agent. anything new? Thank you in advance. Here are the specifics:

Linux ustchscaeflx08 2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP Wed Dec 17 11:41:38 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.

OMW 8.16

Hello.

Try asking in the "OV Operations (ITO)" section.

Have you tried this:
Configure -> Server: Namespace: "General", Enable "Expert mode"

Set "Enable nighlty update of node information"
-> to "false"
