RedHat system Disaster Recovery method

Hi,
We are looking into a way to create a Redhat system recovery bootable (similar to HPUX's ignite make_tape_recovery) for our disaster recovery project. We used "dd" before but it did bit by bit if a disk is 100GB it will go that much. The Linux/Redhat machines only have USB connections and is release 4 update 4 & 5.

I have searched the internet and found some
cloning SW as well as GHOST, PING... but don't have any experience. If you know, please share.

Thanks in advance,

idt

You should try with mondo rescue:

I've used MondoRescue, part-save, Symantec Ghost and Ghost for Linux (which is not related to Symantec) over the years, and all have had equially good results.
