Regarding HPUX Hardware

Hi,

We have two HPUX boxes which shows

1)HP-UX B.11.00 A 9000/785 (tk)

2)HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/785 (te)

does it mean Itanium hardware or PA-RISC hardware

How can i identify this ?

thanks,
raju

Re: Regarding HPUX Hardware

Hi Raju,

No both systems are PA-RISC based, Itanium can only run on 11.22 (end of support) and 11.23 (aka 11iV2).

Re: Regarding HPUX Hardware

Hi,

your systems are PA-RISC (see post above).

Just run "model" - if you see a result including 9000, the system is PA-RISC, if you see ia64, the system is an Integrity (Itanium2).

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
