Probably Burnard is write...
You may need to reboot the server as well and see as if it resolves the problem or not.

Also u have indicated that there is a problem from the NFS server side as well...

Srinu ,

"NFS server is not responding".

You can check with nfs stop and nfs star script , but looks like a reboot can only solve this problem and you can mount the CDROM freshly.
