Hi,

The use of kmeminfo tool is to see the Physical memory Usage system & user process wise.

kmeminfo is tool you can downloaded from the below site.

ftp://eh:spear9@hprc.external.hp.com

downloaded tool with 64bit.exe,when you executing you got the kmeminfo tool.

After Downloading ftp in /tmp location

Change the permission chmod 555
# chmod 555 toolset.64bit.exe
# ./toolset.64bit.exe

Then you run with

./kmeminfo
./kmeminfo -user

That's an obsolete URL. You should really be asking the Response Center for a copy.

I find this recent fascination on the forums with kmeminfo strange - I don't have this tool on any of the boxes I have managed over the years, nor do I think I need it for day-today admin tasks - why do people think this is a vital tool (I've rarely met anyone who can actually correctly interperet the output anyway)?

kmeminfo is a response centre tool - you are *supposed* to use it under direction from the response centre only, not as a general admin tool.

As an "unsupported tool", in theory HP support could ask you to remove this tool from your system and if your system panic'd whilst running it, you would likely be told "well don't do that then".

So the question is - what data is so vital to you that you must have a copy of an unsupported kernel tool? I'm not saying you *don't* need it, just trying to understand what data you think you can only get from kmeminfo...

Duncan is right,
kmeminfo is a support tool used to analyze memory troubles/memory informations in a support context.
It is made by HP support and available through HP support.
It is a leaving application enhanced when needed by hp support 3rd level.

It may bring more questions than answers when used in a none specific context.

So the best for you to obtain an uptodate version of kmeminfo is contact support and explain your need.
