Regarding the cu:ldev

Hi Folks,

If I have got device file of a disk like /dev/dsk/c0t0d1 then how could I will find out what is its cu:ldev number and LUN id. Is there any command to find out cu:ldev number from a device file.

Please help me out. Thanks a lot!

Hi,
you have to combine the results of commands to have this information. For hp-ux this is helpful:
1. ioscan -fnCdisk
2. fcmsutil ( or tdutil) i.e.
tdutil /dev/td0
if there is a device file /dev/td0
3. Use the Secure Path manager to display the LUN infomration:
spmgr display

HI,

you can use

# xpinfo -il | grep -i device file

This will give you the CU:ldev
