Replacement of root disk in vPar

May i know what is the procedure to replace the root disk in vPar?

Note:One of the root disk failed so we need to replace the new root disk.

Re: Replacement of root disk in vPar

Shalom,

The normal scenario is:

1) Replace the disk. If this was SAN based, present a new disk to the system.
2) Restore the root vg, vg00 of the system using Ignite. The backup was made using make_net_recovery

Re: Replacement of root disk in vPar

Same way as a non vPars system

http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-1236/When_Good_Disks_Go_Bad_WP.pdf

but the auto boot string must point to vpmon, not vmunix.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
