Replacing san switch

For precaution take done the ioscan output
take all the WWN numbers for all the cards
If possible take vgexport for all the vg's which are coming from that san switch. for safty

If you are using hpunix and xp storage then
take the o/p of and redirect to ur home dir. it will helpful
# xpinfo -i > /home/xxxx

Before replacing SAN switch, take make_tape_recover backup as well as database backup. Take the latest nickel output.
After replacing SAN switch , check nickel output and ioscan output for everyhing same as before.
