Reset password of nis user

Saudações todos

I have to reset the password of one employee as he forgot it. It is nis user and I am logged in nis server. passwd command is asking for old password and we dont know it. please help?

Did you try to use yppasswd command?
Would you paste here any error message that you see?

saludos,

the best way to do it is to use SAM.
Go to the NIS users section in SAM and try resetting the password. Let us know if that works.

yppassword is tried and not work.
sam is working fine!

Any other command to do this?
