Restricting Web Based SMH To User Administration
I have a rx6600 running HP UX 11.31. I have set up a restricted smh TUI for user administration. The problems are the TUI brings up the wrong patient when trying to modifying information and our login administrators really prefer using the Web Based GUI SMH.
I would like to restrict the administrator's logins to only be able to see/access the User Administration area. Is this possible on the Web Based GUI SMH?

Re: Restricting Web Based SMH To User Administration
Hi william,
SMH has three access levels. "Administrator", "operator" and "user". Administrator access has all access to SMH. Operator acccess is given to database administrators and "user" can just display but not configure anything. These are the standard SMH access levels.
I would like to tell you RBAC will be a good solution although configuration is complex but if you want the user administration through SMH alone then it probably does not suffice your requirement.
Regards
Ismail Azad

>>addition to Ismail's comment,
this is why we call it admin ,
Administrator must have all control and access on system..?
