S.M.A.R.T. data from SATA drive behind P410i

Hi!

We have a DL 380 G6 and some SATA drives on the P410i. As OS we use Debian Squeeze.

When querying SMART data from an SAS drive using smartctl I get some information. Doing the same with an SATA drive gives no result.

my command:
$ smartctl -x -d cciss,2 /dev/cciss/c0d1

Any hints on how to obtain the data?
