SAM Error - unable to start

RP7410 system running HPUX 11.11 v1

After installing the latest version of ISEE (A03.95), I'm getting the following error when trying to load SAM :

Unable to load library "/usr/obam/lib/libIDMawrt.1": Not
enough space

Can anyone advise ?

Many Thanks
Simon

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

Hello Simon,

What does your # bdf and #df command output say ?

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

I think the clue is in the words "Not enough space". What is the output of

bdf -il

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

Hi Joseph, not sure what you mean with SGA (?) We run Progress databases on this machine, I'm not well up on Progress itself.

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

If it's not disc space that's the problem, it might be memory. Are there any entries in /var/sam/log/samlog? Alternatively, /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log?

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

Hi Simon,

May I know your SAM cumulative patch ? Please update into PHCO_31314 if you dont have this patches as SAM cummulative patch on your system.

Usually the latest patch will fixed the library file for SAM.

Otherwise you need to reinstall the SAM fileset into your system.

Hope this information can help you.

Re: SAM Error - unable to start

Shalom Simon,

Recommendations:
SAM patch.

Make sure there are a few hundred meg free in /var

Make sure that /usr/obmam/lib/.... exists and is not missing.

swverify \*
# look for corrupt installations, if found swremove them and reinstall when diskspace is adequate.
