SAN migration for cluster nodes

Hello All

We have a service guard cluster containing two nodes, where we need to do the SAN migration. Migration will be offline.

1. Both the servers are on SAN boot.

2. Quorum server is configured only.

What are the steps/precaution need to take care from the host end.

Thank you in advance.

regards

Arup

Re: SAN migration for cluster nodes

Before you start, you need to verify that the new SAN strorage will function as a boot device.
For instance, iSCSI and NAS storage cannot be used as boot disks.

You state that the migration is offline. Does that mean that you will stop the packages and Servicve Guard completely, then copy the data to the new storage using HP-UX commands?

Re: SAN migration for cluster nodes

Hi Bill

Sorry for the late reply.

Data copy will be done from the storage end.

We only need to powered down both the nodes.

Considering this what will be the best steps to follow.
