SAN tapes - no spec. files
0/3/1/1.3.13.255.0.0.0 unknown HP MSL6000 Series
0/3/1/1.3.13.255.0.0.1 unknown HP Ultrium 3-SCSI
0/3/1/1.3.13.255.0.0.2 unknown HP Ultrium 3-SCSI
0/3/1/1.3.13.255.0.0.3 ctl HP NS E1200-320
Why unknown? No spec. files in /dev/rmt for tape exist.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

Re: SAN tapes - no spec. files
if you attache a tape to the system you need to have stape driver enabled into the kernel.
insf -e to generate special files.
