SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002 Add. Sense: Logical unit not supported
Hello,
I am newer to Linux management so please bear with me.
I am running a Red Hat 5.4 and I am seeing the following in the dmesg as well as the /var/log/messages.
sd 3:0:1:28: Device not ready
sd 3:0:1:28: SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002
Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE,SUGGEST_OK
sddh: Current: sense key: Not Ready
Add. Sense: Logical unit not supported
There are multiple messages for diffrent disks , for example sddh:, sdde: sddf: etc.
I am running an HP eva 6000 with QLogic Corp. ISP2532 card, and many san disks presented, I am using Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1
I was not seeing these errors last week, and the only change I made was I ran a patch update from Red Hat and brought the machine up to date.
Am I starting to see a disk failure?
