SDD Drivers for IBM DS4300 SAN

Does anyone have experience connecting a HP-UX system to an IBM DS4300 SAN, using IBM's SDD drivers? According to IBM's site ( http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=540&context=ST52G7&uid=ssg1S4000053&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8тМй=en+en#SVC ), the SDD driver is for DS8000 and SD6000 series, but doesn't list DS4000 at all.

I'm currently connected to the DS4000, without the SDD drivers and it works fine, but cannot get multipathing to work.

I'm considering just trying the SDD drivers and seing if they recognise the DS4000, but I was wondering if anyone has already tried this or can point me in the right direction. Obviously a call to IBM might help, but I'm sure they are just going to point me to the page above that doesn't offer much help.

Thanks

John,

The Interoperability matrix seems to indicate you must use PVlinks - no mention of any SDD support (in fact no mention of SDD support for any platform):

See p6.

I believe that the only supported method for using the SDD driver with a DS4xxx array is by having the array behind an SVC (SAN Volume Controller). The SDD driver works fine with HPUX 11.0 and 11i, but only when used with an SVC. Those devices appear as IBM 2145's.
