SMH Issue
Hi,
i am using smh -r command to give other root user full access to a SMH, but when i try to use SMH from test user i facing this message.
# smh
DISPLAY variable is not set. Starting the Text User Interface. Please wait...
the directory /etc/sam/rsam must have the permission -rwx------ Exiting!
and when i set the display i facing this error message. Now when i set the display i can't log in to SMH from root
# export DISPLAY=my_laptop_IP:0.0
# smh
/opt/hpsmh/lbin/samweb[140]: /opt/hpsmh/display: Cannot create the specified file.
Looking for a usable running browser... it's take a few minutes
/usr/contrib/bin/X11/xlsclients: unable to open display "192.168.1.5:0.0"
ERROR: Unable to open display "192.168.1.5:0.0"
Please paste the URL "http://uxserver:2301/" into a browser window.
and this is also happen when i try to use firefoxon root or other users
# firefox
/opt/firefox/firefox[221]: /.firefox-license: Cannot create the specified file.
Starting Firefox ...
(firefox-bin:1622): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
Please your support.

The message said it had to be 700:
the directory /etc/sam/rsam must have the permission -rwx

Have you done xhost on that system?

Have you done xhost on that system?
same issue for xhost on HP-UX box, and this ip for my laptop 192.168.1.5. and i using ssh on putty
How about the permissions and ownership of: /etc/sam ?

You need to do this on your laptop, somehow.

The permissions? ll -d /etc/sam
