Re: SNMPD version

maybe "file /usr/sbin/snmpd" gets what you want?

Re: SNMPD version

Hello,
it seems that /usr/sbin/snmpd doesn't
provide a version info.
At least I cannot see a parameter to it.

Usage: /usr/sbin/snmpd [-d] [-t] [-p port]

-d Specifies don't daemonize.
-t Specifies trace mode.
-p Specifies the port the snmpd daemon
listens on for SNMP requests.

The command that Pieter mentioned would
not really tell a lot beside that its a
/usr/sbin/snmpd: COFF format alpha dynamically linked, demand paged executable o
r object module stripped - version 3.13-14

Well, maybe he just mixed it up with the "what" command...

So Bouda16, give this a try:
# what /usr/sbin/snmpd

Regards,
--Uwe.
