SSH on HP-UX 11.00

I will have to install SSH on an old PA-RISC server (have not seen the server yet). It has been a long time since I touched HP-UX 11.00 and I don't remember details about that.

Does anybody remember how to do it?

Where to download packages and which packages?

Do I need original instalation media?

Any advice would be fine.

Re: SSH on HP-UX 11.00

You can get software for obsolete systems like 11.00 from Merijn's website:

http://mirrors.develooper.com/hpux/downloads.html

Be sure to get both the Open-SSL as well as Open-SSH packages.

You will need libz and bzip2 from that same location.

Load libz, bzip2, then SSL and finally SSH.

NOTE: You need to provide the model of this server, or specifically whether it supports 64 bit code.

This is known as PARISC 2.0.  If it is PARISC 1.1, then you'll need the 1.1 version of the packages.

11.00 is very old and doesn't have a random number generator available in the kernel. These instructions should help:

Thanks a lot Bill!

Don't know when this will be done, but I hope it would work.
