Re: SUN C2 autoloader supported ?
Steven, we contacted Sun and besides the tape library being deprecated, they had no clue about how to get it work with Tru64. We were just going through "try and test" at this time. Neither manufacturers told us it will work or not.

Re: SUN C2 autoloader supported ?
Rob, great finding.
At this time I guess it is our risk to buy it or not in order to know if the OS will even interact with the tape library, huh ?

Probably, unless you can find some wisdom
somewhere. On the bright side, if all Sun
did was buy a Quantum SDLT drive and put it
into a Sun box, and if Tru64 supports that
Quantum SDLT drive, then all could be well.
I'd guess that the tape library has a better
chance than the Adaptec SCSI card had.

Re: SUN C2 autoloader supported ?
Just an update.
We finally found some scsi cards laying around on some ES40 servers we had. They did recognize the card and then the drive on the ES40. We are going to take out the card from the ES40 and install it on the ES45 in order to use on it. Looks like everything is going to work.
Thanks everyone for the help.
