SUSE 10 SP 1 on BL460c BL480c doesnt boot

We are facing problem on installing SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 SP 1 on C7000 enclosure with 8 Blades 2 x BL480c and 6x BL460c standard 2 x72gb sas drives and 12 gb of RAM. We are installing SLES10 via ILO2.

SUSE Linux SP 1 seems to have all the drivers of BL480c, BL460c, and Smart Array Controller(cciss) out-of-the-box.

Raid 1+0 is configured from BIOS(Hardware RAID).

Installation goes smoothly and completed succesfully, but after installation when the system tries to boot(first time), on the ILO console(web browser) we got the message as "attempting to boot from local disk". and the system never boots.

We are installing SUSE on Local hard drives, and without LVM.

kindly advise for any known issues. any firmware update ?

Regards

I install SLES10 SP1 x86 and x86_64 on both 460c and 480c units all the time with no issues. Do you have a SAN conected? Make sure grub is installing to /dev/cciss/c0d0
