SWA errors

After Successfuly installing SWA, I run the command 'swa report'. I hit the following error "

* Gathering Inventory
* Getting Catalog of Recommended Actions and Software
ERROR: Failed to read: https://ftp.itrc.hp.com/wpsl/bin/doc.pl/screen=wpslDownloadPatch/swa_catalog.xml.gz?PatchName=/export/patches/swa_catalog.xml.gz
Message: URL cannot be opened. ftp.itrc.hp.com

======= 04/17/09 14:15:48 SST END Report on Issues and New Software failed with 1 error. (user=uxadm) (jobid=nspdwas1)

NOTE: More information may be found in the Software Assistant logfile "/var/opt/swa/swa.log".

How to resolve this error?

Re: SWA errors

Do you need to use a proxy to access the internet?

Hope this helps!

Re: SWA errors

Because I am doing it in my staging environment where we are not allowed to access internet.

Any other solutions?

Re: SWA errors

Sorry, I am not sure how to dwld the patches in using the swa_analysis.xml file.
Even after I open the file in html format, I dont see how it helps.

Remember my environment does not have access to internet. I need to dwld the list of patches first before I can install on the servers.

Re: SWA errors

Hi

How does this new method, SWA ease the previous way of patching servers? I mean previously I dwld patches from the quarterly bundles on the ITRC. I was thinking that in having this swa_analysis.xml file, I will be able to upload it, then it will be able to retrieve all the relevant patches for me in 1 glance.

Now it looks to me that I need to scroll thru the xml file to see which patch is relevant.

Please advice. Did I misunderstand any?
