SYS on top
SYS on top
I have a system with the average of SYS from the top at 20%.
Is it a good value for a good perfomance or i have a problem ?
If i have a problem what can i do for resolve?
What is the normal value for a SYS?
Many point at all good response.

Re: SYS on top
As said above, glance would have preferrence over other generic tools like top, sar, vmstat.
Take a look on the Performance Cook-Book in the below URL:
http://h21007.www2.hp.com/portal/download/files/unprot/devresource/Docs/TechPapers/UXPerfCookBook.pdf
And I always remember this quote while working on system performance issues "Donâ t fix that what ainâ t broke."
Do you see degradation on the system performance in terms of slow response time or user's having application response issues.
>>>>Is it a good value for a good perfomance or i have a problem ?
There isn't enough information available to say anything.
>>>>If i have a problem what can i do for resolve?
Check the performance cook-book for referrence.
>>>>What is the normal value for a SYS?
Should be less than USR area.
Cheers!!
