Samba authentication
I have a Linux server where Samba is configured. One of the Windows client is using the exported directory by typing Unix login name and password. Due to security restriction, I have been asked to implement Windows Integrated authentication in Samba. Could someone tell me how it can be done or if any documents, etc.
TIA
Shahul

Re: Samba authentication
Yes it can be done, however the configuration steps will vary depending on how your Windows domain is set up.
You're probably best off reading the docs here:

Cheers,

Re: Samba authentication
There were different requirements depending on if you were using Samba as a DC or not. There were also different registry settings depending on the OS used to access the Samba shares.
All the info is available but not easily documented when advising an unknown environment.

Re: Samba authentication
This document is the best right now.
I'm doing this right now and it can be tough sledding.
