Re: Samba configuration
hi
You can also use SWAT to configure samba and read the online help that comes with it.
SWAT is a web configurator, usually listening on port 901.
Check the file /etc/services for the line starting with swat to find the correct port for you, next check that in /etc/inetd.conf you have a line configuring the service swat and check with netstat -an|grep 901 that someone is listening on that port.
If everithing is fine you can use swat with your browser at the url: http://hostname:901
It's very simple and with a help on topic
If still you have question go to www.samba.org and read the HOWTO collections
hope it helps
