Service-guard failover

Hi all,

I have a bit of a problem. I have a 2 node cluster with two packages one for Dev and one for production. I need to ensure however that when prod fails over dev is stopped before this happens. I can put it in the customer defined scripts however these are called after the VG's are imported and FS's mounted. This is not good cos the problem I have is that my application people were not clever enough to have unique filenames. Therefore it would fail unless I can halt the dev package 1st.

How can I do this?

Re: Service-guard failover

Bonjour Adam,

In such a case I add some code in a place we are not supposed to modify : when the control file checks argument "start" or "stop". Just after :

-------------------------
# Test to see if we are being called to run the package, or halt the package.

if [[ $1 = "start" ]]
then
print "\n\t########### Node \"$(hostname)\": Starting package at $(date) ###########"
-------------------------

I know, it will probably not be supported, but how to do ?

Eric
