Set up sftp server in HP-UX 11.31

Hi,

Does anybody know how to set up a sftp server in hp-ux 11.31 ? I have been looking for a procedure but I did not manage to get it.

Does your system has ssh services installed? What is the status of sftp ports in your /etc/inetd.conf ?

Yes, I have ssh installed. There are no entries for "sftp" in the inetd.con file. As far as I know, these secure protocols are managed through sshd_config and ssh_config files, aren't they?

More helpful might be actual output from:

uname -a
ssh -V

Sounds right to me. And, so far as I know,
SFTP is enabled by default, so, if the SSH
stuff is installed and working, then, unless
you have disabled it, you should already have
an SFTP server.

Have you tried using SFTP? What happened?

By default an sftp server is installed with this OS. It uses regular user authentication.

swlist -l product | grep -i secure

Look for a produce called secure shell

That is actually openssh.

vi /etc/rc.config.d/sshd

See if it is configured to start with a 1.
