Setting mvfs_largeinit

Hey guys i got this in the syslog, what this error mean.

vmunix: mvfs: Ok: INFO: MVFS: Setting mvfs_largeinit to 2 based on physical memory size of 1048560KB

A quick Google search for mvfs_largeinit (Try
it!) suggests that it's a ClearCase message
(described in the ClearCase documentation).

Most of the good stuff on clearcase is within the ibm.com website.

Though you do not state this, I feel you are probably using HP-UX. There are a lot of patches on the IBM rational website that might also help.

Hi,

this is not an error message - it's an INFO.

Clearcase does some automatic configuration setup at startup, and the result is sent to the syslog:
Based on the memory configuration found (10GB) this parameter 'mvfs_largeinit' was adjusted.
