Shared storage configuration on RedHat 5

Hi,
I am using ReadHat 5 Enterprise version in two Proliant DL580 G5.
I have connected MSA2000 FC create the external shared array.
I have created by "Logical Volume Manager" utility three logical volumes.
There were created also corresponding directories:
/dev/VolGroup10/LogVol101
/dev/VolGroup10/LogVol102
/dev/VolGroup10/LogVol103

From the second server, from ""Logical Volume Manager" utility I can see all the volumes, but the directories on /dev are not created so I cannot mount them as raw partitions.
Please help me how to create the /dev directories.

Thank you

Re: Shared storage configuration on RedHat 5

Shalom,

More details please.

Do you have GFS installed?

Are the volume groups in shared mode?

Appears to me that the second system might not see the disk at all.

hp_rescan a utility that ships with PSP, Proliant Support Pack can help clear up these issues.

Re: Shared storage configuration on RedHat 5

Hi,
I ran successfully hp_rescan utility, but no change.
The second server can see the volumes only from "Logical Volume Manager" utility. From there there are displayed the corresponding paths:
/dev/VolGroup10/LogVol101 ...

but when I go on /dev I cannot find VolGroup10 directory (only /dev/VolGroup00, which is the internal disk).

Thank you

Do you have cluster suite? Is the clvmd service started?
