SmartArray P400, dl385 G5, ESX 3.5 problems
Hi, we've installed ESX 3.5 on a pair of dl385 g5 servers with the P400 controller doing simple raid 1 arrays.
One server just won't respond correctly and keeps showing in the Virtual Center as disconnected, even though I can ping it and I can use the VI Client to connect directly to the server.
I found a utility called arrayprobe by searching the forums. I get this output from arrayprobe using the -r option (see below). It says there's an inconsistent stripe - sounds bad, but what does it mean and what additional troubleshooting should I perform?
[root@vmext79 root]# arrayprobe -r -f /dev/cciss/c0d0
Retrieving logical drive information from controller /dev/cciss/c0d0
Number of logical volumes (00 00 00 08) : 1
