Spectre and Meltdown for Integrity (rx and rp) systems

Has anyone seen any clarification of HP's response to Spectre and Meltdown for legacy rx (2600, 2800) and 9000 rp (2470, 3440, 8420) systems?

Re: Spectre and Meltdown for Integrity (rx and rp) systems

yes, according to the list of affected cpu the itanium chip works different and does not have this issue.

rp systems dont even have intel processors.

Hope this helps!

While Integrity servers have branch prediction and speculation, I've never heard about problems like this.

Also, HP-UX has separation of user and kernel address spaces.

This URL contains an important updated statement (not related to HPE Integrity Systems) but still important to review:

The list *IS* also related to Integrity systems!

ia64 systems are not affected, x86 based Integrities are affected!

Hope this helps!

That's for Superdome X.

Not only Superdome X.

Superdome Flex and MC990 systems too (based on the former SGI systems), both belong to the Integrity family.

Hope this helps!
