Squid on HP-UX
Hi experts,
I'm using squid and proxy running on HP-UX server and have have some question related to this.
1. Is there any way to flush the cache?
2. How frequent do I need to flush a cache?
3. Is there any implication of having large size of cache_directory?
4. If I have 500 - 1000 users, what is the recommended size of cache_dir and the level1 and leve2 subdirectories? Mbytes L1 L2
5. For the same amount of users, what is the recommended cache size?
6. In squid proxy, would it be possible for the squid proxy to communicate and send some kind of configuration which the client can refer to automatically. For example, I have only one proxy server, so all of my clients are pointing to this proxy, but if this proxy goes down, on the client side, they will not do anything, what will happen is if the client cannot connect to that particular proxy for a certain time then it will be diverted to other proxy.
Appreciate your help on this.
Thank you very much.
