Re: Still Cant Read Rock Ridge Format CDs....
Many thanks for the Quick Response(s)!
Cheryl - using the "-o rr" option did the trick!
Sanjay - using "-o cdcase" option fixed the file names, but still left the fnky uid and gid numbers (like that matters;)
Others - I am GLAD to be free of PFS. (What a pain in the rump!)
My thanks to you all

Re: Still Cant Read Rock Ridge Format CDs....
I know I chime in a bit late, but I've been one of the guys pushing for these patches with HP.
I've experimented with the -o rr option immediately after installing the patch, and it proved to do no harm to put it permanently in /etc/fstab:
# grep cdrom /etc/fstab
/dev/cd0 /cdrom cdfs ro,rr,noauto 0 0
#
change your device and mount-point and after that just say
# mount /cdrom
worked with Oracle CD's update CD's, CD's burned on my home PC, rewritable's, so I'm pretty confident it's ok to use it this way.
Just makes you wonder why HP did not make it the default.
