Hi,
I have an Alpha Server ES45 running Tru64UNIX v5.1A rev 1885.
I was running SYS_CHECK, and the system crashed with a Kernel Memory Fault.
I have run sys_check many times with no problems so I do not know why this should occur now!
If there is anybody who can have a quick look at the attached crash-data file and advise why SYS_CHECK would cause the system to crash with a kernel memory fault I would really sppreciate it.
Thanks
Andrew

Re: System crash with Kernel Memory fault
Hi Andy,
Is your system with Tru64 V5.1A, patch kit 4?
Is yes, this is a known issue in PK4.
The fix is in patch kit 5.
You can refer to this link for the ERP,
http://h30097.www3.hp.com/unix/erp/BU030609_EW01.html
You may, however, want to apply the latest patch kit 6 instead.
