System hangs repeatedly (2 - 3 times weekly_

System hangs repeatedly (2 - 3 times weekly_

Symptoms
- 928 RX on MPEX 7.0 PP1
- System hangs - no error messages on console
- Console remains active
- New sessions initiated o.k. for a short time and then hangs.
- Hangs happen intermitently (often overnight during ORBIT Zerodown full system backup
- Predictive not running on System
- showproc on active jobs show no active processes
- Reboot of system and start norecovery clears the hang.

Does anyone have any ideas??

I think you need the MPE/iX or HP3000 forum.

This is HP-UX.
