Tape SDLT 320 blinking all the LED

I a have a GS 80 server with True 64 Unix and SDLT 320 working properly. After backup up the previous day, i decided to use the the tape the next day. ALL the LED on the tape a blinking .Red ,green and Amber. I restart the server several time. Every time i insert a tape it eject and blink all the LED continuality. What is the solution

Read the owner's manual for the tape drive?

All my DLT drives are older than yours, but
all-lights-flashing normally means that the
tape drive is NOT "working properly".

Restarting the server is not likely to help
a bad tape drive. Cycling the power on the
tape drive might help, but don't expect much.

The usual solution is to repair or replace
the bad tape drive.
