The legacy lun path (b 30 - t 0 - l 0)

Hi,

i facing the below message on syslog file on both node on VCS cluster.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

class : lunpath, instance 396
The legacy lun path (b 30 - t 0 - l 0)
registration failed because it has been
re-mapped from its original LUN (default dev 0x0)
to a different LUN (default dev 0xd000057).
 The administrator has to close the original LUN and
then validate this LUN re-mapping using the scsimgr
command:
        scsimgr [-f] replace_leg_dsf -D /dev/rdsk/cxtydz
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What does this message and is there any problem and how to resolve it ?

Thanks

Re: The legacy lun path (b 30 - t 0 - l 0)

I haven't seen that exact message, but I do get similar ones under 11.31 agile DSFs when my SAN Administrator has removed a LUN and presented a different one down the same path.

If you've recently done some storage reconfiguration recently than it is probably safe to run the command given to re-enable the disk. Otherwise the disk will remain disabled as a safety feature.
