Time difference in NTP Server and Client
Hi,
We had a two hpux 11iv3 server with cluster . we have configured one as NTP server and other as client . But the time is not synchronizing from NTP server .There is a difference of around 1 minute , I think this will cause problem when the cluster comes up during failover .
Can someone tell me what should be the problem . I have attached the ntp.conf from both servers .

Re: Time difference in NTP Server and Client
Hello Mathew
You should specify that the local server operate in symmetric active mode with the remote server. This means that you should add in both configurations the directive:
peer <other_node_name> version 3
I believe that you could omit "version 3" as it is used by default (read the man page for NTP server)
Horia.
