Time synchronization with no access to a NTP server

Hi,

I have 2 rx2660 servers runnning HP-UX 11.23. They are on a network that has no access to a NTP server. I need the 2 servers to be synchronize. Is there a way to configure NTP so one server will feed itself from the other. It's not really important that master server as the proper time, just that the 2 servers have the same time.

Thanks,

Re: Time synchronization with no access to a NTP server

You can still run the setup NTP service. Make one of the servers the NTP server and use its own clock as the time source. Look in /etc/ntp.conf for examples, directions. Make the other server a client to the first server.

FYI: what you described is called 'local clock impersonator'
