Top sessions data

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.4

Top sessions command shows a session consuming 100% of the CPU (on its own line), but in the general data (at the top of the screen) it shows that only the 50% of the CPU is used.

CPU is Intel Pentium Dual Core.

Any idea about how I should interpret this?

Re: Top sessions data

Hi,

I would guess that the oracle process is using 100% CPU of one core, and that other core is pretty much idle.

You should be able to toggle the display to show all the CPU cores at the top of the screen, rather than the average that it is showing at the moment, but I forget the key sequence to do so...

Cheers,

Rob
