Re: (URGENT)!!! Invalid shared library file .....Error
you may be missing other dependent patches.
Read this thread, this might help.

Re: (URGENT)!!! Invalid shared library file .....Error
I think that the error is caused when installing the exact patch ""PHSS_39821"" (s700_800 11.23 linker + fdp cumulative patch) ,as the system suddenly reboots !!!!!without finishing the installation process!!!....
I would like to add that this patch has a dependency for the PATCH_39293 which is not installed on the system ...
first i will try to install the dependency then reinstall the PHSS_39821 ,if still; i will try to uninstall the patch ...

Re: (URGENT)!!! Invalid shared library file .....Error
Check /etc/shutdownlog, if no entry, it crashed.
Typically linker/dld patches don't need to reboot.
You can extract libelf.2 from the patch, or you can try reinstalling PHSS_39821. But as you mentioned, uninstalling the patch should put the old version back.
>this patch has a dependency on PHSS_39293 which is not installed on the system.
It only has that dependency if you are on Integrity.

Re: (URGENT)!!! Invalid shared library file .....Error
but I solved it by copying the file from another server, and worked fine.
