Uerf Deciphering

Hi

I have had the following event logged from binlogd on an ES40 running Tru64 5.1B PK3. Should I start worrying?!

Hi,

this type of message you can expect around boot up time. But for more details use decevent. Try:
dia -R | more
to see, if something catches your eye.
Also look into /var/adm/messages and
/var/adm/syslog.dated/current
There are different logs.

Since this is an ES40, one should use "Campaq Analyse" ie. /usr/sbin/ca for correct deciphering of binary.errlogs
And to confuse anybody even more, 'ca' changed it's name into 'wsea' with the latest release of WEBES.

No, you should not start worrying. Each time you reboot your system, you'll see this event being logged. It is simply recording the machine's hardware configuration.

If you use Decevent, you'll get more information, but using SEA will decipher it even better.
