Umask

Hi ,

For non root user we can set the umask is 022 as per good practise . What should be umask for root user .

As Root user has all the previlages umask can be changed anytime, no meaning in setting umask to root.
You should deserve before U desire!!!!

Hi,

umask value can decide the permission of files which created by the user.
For better, you can give 077 value so that no other users get access to files created by root.
But this cause too painful in normal operations.So set atleast 022 umask value.

This is to protect root from other users changing his files.
