Unable to ftp as root user in hp ux 11iv3

Hello Team,

Server: rx4640 (10.145.2.75)

OS: HP-UX 11iV3

I am unable ftp as a root user of a hp ux machine from my laptop. Error given below.

D:\NICKEL>ftp 10.145.2.75
Connected to 10.145.2.75.

T 2006) ready.
User (10.145.2.75:(none)): root
331 Password required for root.

Check and see if you have a /etc/ftpd/ftpusers file on your system.  If you do, see if 'root' is listed in it.  If it is, then root will NOT be able to log in via FTP.

The /etc/ftpd/ftpusers file lists users which are NOT allowed access via ftp.

From 'man ftpusers':

ftpd rejects remote logins to local user accounts that are named in /etc/ftpd/ftpusers.
