Upgrade from HP-UX 11.31 0803 to 11.31 0909

Hi,
I am planning to upgrade my HP-UX 11.31 0803 box to 11.31 0909. Can any one tell me how to safely upgrade my server?.

Make an ignite backup or use DRD to clone the disk.

Install update_ux from media. Run it.

Hi,

Safer side is to always have an ignite backup of your server.

Install update-ux on the server and do the upgarde.

Hi,

DRD is the best option instead of going for ignite backup. You can roll back in 10 minutes, incase of failures or even want to roll back in future.
Make DRD Disk & run the update-ux on the drd disk.
