Usage of LSOF

How can i close the open ports using LSOF?
I have to close the following one

SMTP
DIAGMOND
XDMCP
SUN RPC

I am afraid that you cannot "close the open ports" using the LSOF command only.

For the services that you have listed above, why don't you just stop them?

lsof does NOT close open ports. It does not open closed ports. It does nothing with except list what is in use. lsof is short for:

(l)i(s)t (o)pen (f)iles. That is what it does.
